2024: Keen set for British GT comeback alongside Loggie at 2 Seas

Phil Keen will make a full-time return to the British GT grid this season when he shares 2 Seas’ second Mercedes-AMG with 2022 champion Ian Loggie.

The Anglo-Bahraini squad won last year’s GT3 teams’ crown in dominant fashion with a round to spare but narrowly missed out on the drivers’ title at the finale.

In Keen they have added a driver with a joint-record 19 overall race wins to his name, not to mention a hat-trick of runner-up finishes in the GT3 standings.

However, he made just one British GT appearance last term, joining Loggie at Portimão as a stand-in for the otherwise-engaged Jules Gounon. With the French-Andorran moving on for 2024, the former Lamborghini factory driver has been chosen to take his place on a full-time basis.

Loggie, meanwhile, will embark on his second campaign with 2 Seas following a run to fifth in 2023, which began with a win at Oulton Park. The Scotsman will now hope to repeat his 2022 title success and finally end Keen’s long wait for a maiden GT3 crown.

“It’s going to be a big push in 2024. We showed good speed and had some great results last season, but I am more determined than ever to get back on top of the podium, and have that number one back!” said Loggie.

“I’m really pleased to be back again with 2 Seas, who were the choice of the field last time out, and they have proven themselves to be the ones to catch. I’m also really looking forward to partnering with Phil for the full season. His racing CV speaks for itself, nowhere more so than in British GT. He has always been a class act, and it is great to be sharing a car with him. Hopefully we can add some more silverware to the trophy cabinet together, and get Phil that record number of wins back.”

The new partnership retains 2023’s retro D2 livery that harks back to Mercedes-AMG’s DTM and FIA GT pedigree. And it will also use the same #6 with which Loggie won the title two years ago.

2 Seas’ other entry – which pairs Kevin Tse with Maximilian Goetz – was revealed this morning.

This year’s British GT Championship begins at Oulton Park on March 30 + April 1.
