+ Plowman classified first from Kirchhöfer
+ Mahiki and Mitchell again quickest in GT4
+ Result: Pre-Qualifying
Martin Plowman and Marvin Kirchhöfer couldn't be separated in Pre-Qualifying at Brands Hatch where Paddock and Optimum's McLarens set identical times towards the end of the hour-long session.
Jack Mitchell and Mahiki's #84 Ginetta again topped GT4, which beat new team-mate Luke Garlick by 0.8s.
All eyes, however, were on GT3 which exploded into life as the clock ticked down.
Tom Wood set the early pace from 2 Seas' Mercedes-AMGs, which moved up to second and third in quick succession. However, their 1m24s times were still a second down on Marcus Clutton's Free Practice benchmark, suggesting faster laps would follow.
Jonny Adam and Blackthorn's Aston Martin jumped from fifth to second just before the halfway mark. But it was Clutton who again showed the way by setting a 1m23.731s - 0.06s shy of his time from this morning.
Clutton then reduced that by half a tenth, enough - it seemed - to claim Orange/JMH's second fastest time of the day.
Plowman had other ideas, though. His first flyer was scrubbed for track limits before the second moved Paddock's 720S to within two hundredths of top spot. The job was finally done next time around when 1m23.599s appeared to settle the session in Plowman's favour.
But Kirchhöfer can never be discounted, and he duly matched the fastest time with moments remaining. Paddock were ultimately classified ahead of Optimum by dint of setting their time first.
Clutton completed a 720S top three separated by 0.087s, while Sven Müller (Team Parker) was again impressive one tenth further back.
Maximilian Götz (2 Seas), Hugo Cook (Barwell) and Callum Macleod (Optimum) also moved ahead of Wood whose early benchmark remained fast enough for eighth overall.
Further back, Mahiki's #84 Ginetta again set the GT4 pace by lapping 0.8s quicker than it did this morning.
There was little to choose between Josh Miller and his co-driver Mitchell who ultimately made it two session-topping times from as many attempts.
Team-mate Luke Garlick was next up on his debut with Mahiki, while third and fourth went to the championship rivals: Marc Warren/Jack Brown (Optimum) and Ravi Ramyead/Charlie Robertson (Century)
Qualifying begins at 15:55 BST. Watch it live on SRO's GT World YouTube channel.
