+ Result: Pre-Qualifying, Silverstone
Reigning champion Kiern Jewiss waited until the very final lap of the Pre-Qualifying session to strike and put 2 Seas Motorsport on top, in doing so denying Hugo Cook and Barwell Motorsport a practice clean sweep.
Colin Turkington announced his arrival in GT4 by helping WSR’s new BMW M4 to the fastest time as fractions of a second again separated the GT4 field around Silverstone’s 3.6 miles.
Cook looked like he would make it two from two in Saturday’s Silverstone 500 practice sessions, taking advantage of the peak tyre grip early in the session to put the #63 Barwell Lamborghini he shares with Rob Collard out front on his fourth tour. Cook’s time looked set in stone with his rivals all repeatedly falling short, until Jewiss headed out for one final run in the #1 Mercedes-AMG he shares with fellow 2025 champion Charles Dawson and managed to improve by 0.037s right as the chequered flag fell.
Cook held second, himself just 0.1s ahead of Andrew Gilbert and Aaron Walker in the rebuilt 2 Seas Motorsport Mercedes-AMG. Jarrod Waberski and Alex Martin continued to set the pace in Silver-Am, with their Barwell Lamborghini fourth ahead of Ross Gunn and Andrew Howard in the Beechdean Aston. Ben Barnicoat and Morgan Tillbrook rounded out the top six in Optimum’s #77 McLaren.

After a relatively quiet opening session, WSR turned up the heat in this one, with touring car superstar Turkington showing he has fully adapted to GT life by going fastest. After trading the top time with Jack Mitchell’s Ginetta, Turkington asserted himself again by just over a tenth of a second before handing to co-driver Ernie Graham for the remainder of the session.
Revie Lake backed up his practice pace by getting within 0.140s of Turkington in the Mahiki Racing McLaren he shares with Blake Angliss, shuffling Mitchell and Luke Shaw back to third. Will Orton and Jessica Hawkins were fourth in their MK Racing Aston Martin as John Hartshorne and Ronan Pearson completed the top five in the GBR Stratton Vantage.
Qualifying is scheduled for 15:45.
