Reigning GT3 champion Morris confirms Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup deal with Team Parker

Reigning British GT champions Seb Morris and Team Parker Racing will compete together in the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup this season after confirming a Pro/Am entry with Bentley.

The reigning GT3 Drivers’ champion previously announced plans to pursue his options in Europe following the conclusion of 2017’s British GT campaign. And Bentley has now confirmed that the 22-year-old Welshman will remain aboard the same customer Team Parker-run Continental GT3 for a crack at the pan-continental Endurance Cup.

Joining Morris is Team Parker’s former British GT4 driver Ade Barwick and Derek Pierce, who returns to TPR after contesting the Endurance Cup in 2016.

Morris, who finished third and first overall during his two seasons of British GT alongside Rick Parfitt Jnr, believes the experience he gained from leading a Pro/Am crew will now prove vital to achieving further success this year.

“I am delighted to have signed with Team Parker Racing for my first proper assault on the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup, which I consider to be the biggest sportscar championship in the world right now,” he said.

“Winning last year’s title means I now feel ready to leave British GT and use all the experience learned there over the past two years to mount a championship challenge with Ade and Derek. I know all about Team Parker and the Bentley Continental GT3, which is a proven championship-winner against top Pro/Am competition. So I feel extremely confident that we can get out there and win in Blancpain.”

Morris’ five-round Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup campaign begins at Monza on April 20-22 and includes outings at Silverstone, Paul Ricard and Barcelona, as well as the championship’s blue riband Total 24 Hours of Spa in July.

Meanwhile, this year’s British GT Championship kicks off at Oulton Park on Easter Bank Holiday Weekend (March 31 – April 2). Reserve your tickets for this and every other British GT event using the links below.
