Jonny Cocker led Barwell Motorsport team-mate Phil Keen in second practice at Oulton Park today, while Multimatic’s Seb Priaulx topped the GT4 times in his Ford Mustang.
Rising temperatures ensured times were slower than the morning’s session when Callum Macleod’s Mercedes-AMG set fastest time. Cocker’s best of 1m34.827s was seven tenths shy of that and just 0.083s under Keen’s time.
Both Lamborghinis moved to the top in the final 10 minutes, but TF Sport’s Nicki Thiim left it even later – his final flying lap, no less – to pinch third from long-time leader Adam Christodoulou. The ABBA Racing Mercedes-AMG led Ben Green’s Century Motorsport BMW and RAM Racing’s Macleod, who was demoted from second to sixth over the closing stages.
Two Aston Martins shared row four – Jonny Adam ahead of Bradley Ellis – while Seb Morris and Jack Mitchell completed the top-10.
Elsewhere, Martin Plowman’s Beechdean AMR Aston Martin led the GT4 times for most of the session before Priaulx’s 1m43.903s moved the Multimatic Mustang 0.181s clear.
Multimatic’s second Ford shared by American duo Chad McCumbee and Jude Buford finished another 0.026s behind but a tenth clear of Century’s #43 BMW, which again featured in the top-four.
TF Sport’s Aston Martins sandwiched Balfe Motorsport’s McLaren in fifth to seventh. The top-10 was completed by Century’s second BMW, Tolman’s #5 McLaren and Track Focused’s KTM.
