JMH Automotive will join the British GT Championship at Silverstone and Donington this June after entering a Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO for John Seale and Jamie Stanley.
The same combination currently lies third in GT Cup’s overall standings but is making two British GT appearances this summer as part of a planned full-season entry in 2020.
Seale contested last year’s final round at Donington Park aboard a GTC-spec Ferrari. However, Silverstone will be his first ever outing in British GT’s senior class.
His co-driver for both events has a good deal more British GT experience having won 2010’s GT4 crown and been a regular in the class up until 2015. Stanley made his last appearance in 2016 and also has one GT3 outing to his name: Silverstone 2013 aboard a Fox Motorsport Ferrari 430.
“It’s a big step for John so these two toe-in-the-water rounds will be good preparation for what’s to come in 2020,” said Stanley, who also helps oversee Fox Motorsport’s British GT4 programme.
“He’s been very competitive so far this year and we’ve seen how well the new Lamborghini has performed in British GT during the opening two rounds, so we certainly have the tools to do a good job. But it’s not about going in all guns blazing: positive weekends at Silverstone and Donington will help us hit the ground running in 2020.”
A 40+ entry is all-but guaranteed for British GT’s blue riband round at Silverstone on June 8/9, while another strong grid also looks likely for the first of this season’s two visits to Donington a fortnight later.
