FP2: Championship leaders Keen and Hand in charge at Donington

> Result: FP2

Phil Keen made it two fastest times in as many practice sessions at Donington where times remained below the existing lap records in both classes.

GT4 championship leader Ash Hand topped the class times after beating morning pace-setters Multimatic Motorsports.

It was once again Keen and Rob Bell disputing overall top spot, the Balfe Motorsport McLaren holding sway until just after 30 minutes. However, Barwell’s #72 Lamborghini - which leads the championship by six points - assumed its customary place at the top courtesy of a 1m27.655s. That was 0.012s faster than Keen had lapped in the morning and 0.209s ahead of Bell.

RAM Racing’s Callum Macleod and TF Sport’s Nicki Thiim both once again featured in the top-four, albeit less than three tenths shy of Keen’s time.

Ben Green’s Century BMW made it as many different manufacturers in the top-five, while Adam Christodoulou’s ABBA Mercedes-AMG finished one place ahead of JRM’s Bentley.

In GT4, Multimatic’s championship-chasing #15 Mustang looked set for top spot once again until Ash Hand produced two times fast enough for top spot. His second - 1m35.576s - was 0.270s quicker than long-time leader Sebastian Priaulx and 0.6s inside the existing GT4 lap record.

Less than a tenth covered the rest of the top five, Steller Motorsport’s Audi driven by Richard Williams leading Balfe Motorsport’s McLaren and GT Marques’ Porsche.

Optimum’s Mike Robinson looked a threat once again in sixth, while Pro/Am championship leaders Kelvin Fletcher and Martin Plowman finished seventh.
