2019 championship contenders Adam Balon and Phil Keen are returning to the British GT Championship next season with Barwell Motorsport.
The duo led the GT3 standings ahead of Donington’s season finale where contact and subsequent suspension failure denied the #72 Lamborghini Huracan a chance to fight for the Drivers’ crown.
However, Balon and Keen – who ultimately slipped to fourth in the championship – still helped Barwell reclaim the Teams’ title from TF Sport.
It was a particularly impressive first season for Balon who stepped up to the senior class following several years contesting British GT4.
Two victories at Snetterton – the second achieved after overcoming a 10s Pitstop Penalty – also helped Keen assert himself as British GT’s winningest driver. His total of 17 across all classes remains one more than Jonny Adam who now holds the record for most GT3 and overall victories.
However, Barwell has also confirmed that Sam De Haan will not return to its ranks in 2020 despite finishing second overall and winning the Pro/Am title at Donington last month.
Oulton Park hosts the opening round of British GT’s 28th season on April 11 & 13.
