Motorsport UK statement in full:
Motorsport UK acknowledges the announcement [Saturday] evening by Prime Minister Boris Johnson that England plans to enter a four-week national lockdown on Thursday 5 November.
In light of the prohibition on movement during this period, Motorsport UK will now refer to the Government’s Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport for guidance in relation to organised and elite sport. It will then take the necessary steps to ensure that motorsport in England fully complies with DCMS protocols.
The governing body will provide further information and guidance to the sport on Monday 2 November following its consultation with DCMS.
