Anglo American Oil Company Ltd. (AAOC), a leading supplier of fuels, oils, treatments, and cleaners, is delighted to announce that, as sole UK distributor of SONAX car care products, the company’s logo will be carried on every car in the Intelligent Money British GT Championship.
AAOC is the exclusive distributer of Sunoco Racing Fuels in Europe and is the sole supplier of control fuels to teams throughout British GT's pitlane. In addition, it also manages the Sunoco Fastest Race Lap of the Weekend Award, given to the GT3 and GT4 driver who sets the fastest race lap in each class.
The company is based in a purpose-built facility in Poole and is not only the exclusive distributer of Sunoco Racing Fuels in Europe and the Middle East but also the European agent of Driven Racing Oil, as well as distributing BMC Air Filters, Zestino and Valino drift and track day tyres, Aspen fuel for garden machinery, Ecopar biodegradable diesel, and Warter AVGAS in the UK, while its in-house R brand of racing fuels, brake fluids, and oils, are quickly gaining momentum worldwide.
SONAX is not only a recognised market-leading product, but has a long history in motorsport, having been represented by Formula 1 drivers such as Michael Schumacher, Ayrton Senna, Jacques Villeneuve, and Heinz-Harald Frentzen. In addition, it is instantly recognisable by the iconic SONAX-liveried Mercedes 190E, driven by Klaus Ludwig in the DTM, which RAM Racing paid homage to in this year’s Gulf 12 Hours.
That motorsport heritage will now continue, as each car competing in the British GT Championship will feature the SONAX logo, which will be ideally positioned on the licence plate area at the front of the machines. The opening round of the series is held at Brands Hatch, in Kent, this coming weekend, May 22/23.
