The result of Round 2 of the Intelligent Money British GT Championship remains provisional.
RAM Racing’s appeal against the result, which was lodged post-race at Oulton Park on Monday evening, was heard on Tuesday. After careful consideration the Stewards of the Meeting have rejected the appeal.
RAM Racing has now lodged a Notice of Intention to Appeal the Stewards’ Decision to The National Court.
The team’s #6 Mercedes-AMG took the chequered flag first in Monday’s second race but was classified fifth on corrected times following the application of a seven-second Success Penalty.
Ordinarily this would have been added to the entry’s minimum pitstop time. However, the accident and subsequent race suspension that coincided with GT3’s pitstop window resulted in only driver and tyre changes taking place during the stoppage.
Paddock Motorsport’s #11 McLaren remains the provisional winner of Race 2.
