Collard and Graham make GT4 comebacks with Toyota Gazoo Racing UK and Valluga

Intelligent Money British GT4 Championship race winners Jordan Collard and Matthew Graham return to the series at Silverstone this weekend with Toyota Gazoo Racing UK and Valluga Racing, respectively.

Collard, who was GT4 runner-up in 2020 and finished third last season with Team Rocket RJN, takes Jack Mitchell’s place in the GR Supra GT4 for the rest of the campaign. He joins Tom Edgar who lies fifth in the early standings after the opening two races at Oulton Park.

This will be Collard’s fourth year in the GT4 class but first racing something other than a McLaren 570S. The 21-year-old claimed at least one victory in each of those previous seasons – a streak that, if it were to continue, would guarantee the GR Supra its maiden British GT win.

Graham, meanwhile, visited the top step twice in quick succession at Spa in 2017 when the Ebor GT Maserati he shared with Charlie Fagg proved the class of the field. Those one-off appearances were preceded by a full-season assault with Generation AMR MacMillan Racing that resulted in fifth place at the end of the campaign.

Now the early Porsche Carrera Cup GB championship leader, who finished third in the same series two years ago, joins Ross Wylie aboard Valluga’s Porsche Cayman, which claimed a podium first time out at Oulton.

Team owner Benji Hetherington, who makes way for the 25-year-old, explains: “I’m really excited to have Matty join us in British GT from Silverstone. He has a really strong pedigree in single-make Porsche racing and showcased that for us last weekend in GT Cup when, at the drop of a hat, he shot down to Brands Hatch to drive the Cayman in the absence of a driver. Having never driven the car before qualifying in the morning, by the end of the day he had won a race and finished second in the other.

“A huge thank you must go to Peter Gronberg for making this happen; his support to Valluga and Matty is so vital in making this deal reality. I’m very much looking forward to the weekend and beyond.”
