+ Investment provider remains on board through 2027
+ Enhanced ISA, SIPP and pension options for GT fans
Intelligent Money will remain the British GT Championship’s title sponsor for another five years at least following confirmation of a new partnership between the FCA authorised and regulated investment provider and SRO Motorsports Group.
The existing multi-season deal wasn’t due to expire until the end of 2025. However, IM will now remain onboard for at least another two years after first becoming the series’ primary partner at the start of 2020.
Specialising in private client services, Intelligent Money manages a range of high-performing investment portfolios for individuals eager to energise their pensions, ISAs and general investments. The company has been entrusted with more than £2 billion of client money since it was founded in 2002.
Its British GT partnership is also good news for potential clients who can now take advantage of IM removing its minimum pension, SIPP and ISA investment criteria, as well as the initial fee, over the duration of its title sponsorship.
White and black Intelligent Money windscreen banners will continue to instantly identify GT3 and GT4 entries, while the presence of further trackside branding and a commitment to free, unrestricted livestreaming coverage has seen IM become synonymous with one of Britain’s biggest domestic race series.
Indeed, last year’s championship showdown at Donington Park was an opportunity to highlight two important milestones: Intelligent Money’s 20th anniversary and the British GT Championship’s 30th season. A one-off windscreen banner design celebrated both landmarks.
Julian Penniston-Hill, Intelligent Money Chief Executive: “We are delighted to make yet another announcement on our long-term support and commitment to the Intelligent Money British GT Championship.
“The precision, technology, teamwork and professionalism of all involved fit perfectly with that of IM in delivering the highest possible results without taking unnecessary risks. In signing a new five-year contract we are simply cementing this synergy.
“2023 promises to be an incredible year for the championship, particularly with the addition of Portimão, in my adoptive home country of Portugal, to the calendar. Whilst we celebrate the results of 2022 we also greatly look forward to continuing working very closely with SRO and enjoying the fruits of the work, training and testing undertaken by the teams and drivers this season and well beyond.”
Lauren Granville, Intelligent Money British GT Championship Manager: “Intelligent Money has become an integral element of the British GT Championship over the past three years, and we’re delighted that the partnership is continuing for at least another five. IM’s eight-year commitment will be amongst the longest in British GT’s history and speaks volumes for the potential Julian and his team see in our ongoing collaboration.”
Season 31 of the Intelligent Money British GT Championship gets underway at Oulton Park on April 8 & 10, while Donington hosts the series’ official media day one month before (March 14).
