Enduro Motorsport has revealed the new livery with which its updated McLaren 720S GT3 Evo will contest this year’s Intelligent Money British GT Championship.
Morgan Tillbrook and Marcus Clutton are back for a third season together in what promises to be one of this year’s preeminent entries after the pair won twice and finished third overall in 2022.
Their McLaren features the latest Evo update but also a new predominantly orange livery courtesy of Cazoo.
Tillbrook won his first British GT race at the end of 2021 and emerged as one of the series’ fastest Am drivers throughout last year. Now he’s determined to turn that undoubted potential into a championship-winning campaign.
“We learned the ropes in 2021 and became genuine title contenders last year so this season there really is only one goal: to win the overall GT3 drivers’ title,” he said. “Marcus and I were certainly fast enough to do that last year but I don’t mind admitting we made too many mistakes as well. And history shows that it’s consistency rather than outright speed that often wins British GT championships.
“Ok, we went to Donington still in title contention, but circumstances weren’t ideal. Three non-scores were far too many, and this season looks even more competitive. But if we can score solidly every weekend and take our victory opportunities when they present themselves then we should be there or thereabouts when the Decider rolls around again.”
Clutton, who also oversees Enduro’s day-to-day management, agrees. But he is equally aware of the scale of the task this year.
“You look at some of the entries and pairings that have been announced and think ‘ok, things have gone up another level this year’, but that also gives us something to aim at,” he said. “The entry is littered with factory drivers whereas I run the team as well as race the car. But that’s never prevented Morgan and I from being competitive and there’s no reason to believe we won’t be this year, either. It actually serves as extra motivation for me.”
The scale of that ambition is evident in Enduro expanding its British GT programme to include a GT4 entry this year. Further details will be confirmed shortly.
Both cars will attend British GT’s media day at Donington Park on March 14 before the season begins over Easter Bank Holiday weekend at Oulton Park.
