Two-time reigning GT4 Pro-Am champion Matt Topham will make his Intelligent Money British GT3 debut with Enduro Motorsport and Marcus Clutton at Snetterton next weekend (June 17-18).
He makes his senior class debut following Morgan Tillbrook’s decision to step away from driving duties for the remainder of the season.
Topham first raced the team’s McLaren 720S GT3 Evo last weekend at Snetterton where he and Clutton bagged a pair of GT Cup podiums. He will remain part of Enduro’s British GT3 line-up for the rest of the season.
“Competing in GT3 was always the goal but I wanted to be 100% ready before making the jump. Now, after two years of GT4, I feel ready,” said Topham. “I looked at other opportunities over the winter but things didn’t quite come together in time so I decided to wait rather than make a hasty decision. Enduro and Marcus are proven British GT race winners so joining Enduro was an offer I couldn’t refuse.”
Tillbrook, who also co-owns Enduro with Clutton, added: “Racing is my passion and I’m having to prioritise life away from that at the moment. However, we were determined to keep our GT3 entry on the grid and have found a good solution for doing so. Matt has proven himself in GT4 over the last two years and is now eager to test himself against British GT3’s very strong amateur contingent.”
