Kiern Jewiss joins reigning GT4 Pro-Am champion Charles Dawson in 2 Seas’ second Mercedes-AMG GT3 this season.
The former British F4 and Porsche Carrera Cup GB champion makes his British GT debut after racing a 911 GT3 R with Team Parker in GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS throughout 2023.
There was also a one-off Le Mans Cup appearance with Steller during an otherwise quiet 2024.
“It is fantastic to confirm a return to racing after a year out of the car, and I’m excited to join 2 Seas Motorsport and partner with Charles,” he said. “It is going to be new challenge, having not driven the Mercedes-AMG GT3 before and it is a new championship for me to get to grips with, so we will be looking to make the most of each session
“It will definitely be a learning process, and it is shaping up as an incredibly strong grid, but I can’t wait to get into it.”
His new co-driver knows all about British GT after clinching the GT4 Pro-Am crown and finishing third overall with Seb Morris in his debut season, which was also spent at the wheel of a Mercedes-AMG.
Indeed, Dawson’s move into the senior ranks is a natural progression, but one that he expects will take time to master.
“Following the success in British GT, winning the GT4 Pro-Am title, it felt like the right time to step up to GT3,” he said. “To be able to do so with a team like 2 Seas will be a fantastic experience. I am really looking forward to spending the season with them, developing my skills, and working with Kiern who comes with a fantastic background.
“He is a brilliant talent and, together, I think we make a really strong pairing, but our goal is simple as we look to enjoy the season, learn and develop. It will also be amazing to experience the British circuits in the GT3 car.”
Dawson and Jewiss are joined in 2 Seas’ garage by the returning duo of Kevin Tse and Maximilian Götz whose entry was announced this morning.
2 Seas co-owner Isa Al Khalifa added: “The British GT grid continues to strengthen every year, and it looks like 2025 will be no exception. I’m really pleased to welcome Kiern and Charles to the team, and to have Kevin and Max back with us for a second run at the title. I think, between them, the two line-ups will be extremely strong, and will push each other on at every event.
“Kevin and Max proved themselves as real contenders last season, so they will be hard to beat, and Kiern and Charles are a really exciting prospect now they are partnered up. It’s going to be great to watch!”
Donington hosts the first of this year’s nine races on April 5-6.
