2025 ENTRY: McDermott, Morris and Team Parker confirm Endurance Cup entry

2025 ENTRY: McDermott, Morris and Team Parker confirm Endurance Cup entry

Ed McDermott has joined forces with 2017 British GT champion Seb Morris and Team Parker Racing for a crack at the series’ new Endurance Cup.

Morris also won last year’s GT4 Pro-Am title with Charles Dawson at the wheel of a TPR-run Mercedes-AMG. And it’s with the same manufacturer and team he’ll now contest 2025’s four Endurance Cup races at Donington x2, Silverstone and Spa.

Personal and business commitments prevent McDermott from entering further events. This will be his third season with the Mercedes-AMG after previously working with Motus One, One Motorsport, Team Abba and – most – recently Paddock Motorsport.

The car is also reverting to the Zakspeed-inspired livery it first wore in 2023. Kurt Thiim and Roland Asch both won races using a similar design en route to second and sixth in the 1992 DTM standings.

However, its branding will change to reflect McDermott’s passionate support of The Brain Tumour Charity, and My Black Dog which helps those struggling with their mental health.

“I am thrilled to be returning to the British GT Championship, a series I truly enjoy,” he said. “Due to time constraints, the Endurance Cup provides the perfect alternative to a full-season campaign, as otherwise, I may have only been able to enter select rounds.

“With my third child on the way and business commitments keeping me busy, this format works perfectly. I am delighted to be teaming up with Seb; he is a proven race winner, and I am eager to learn from him. Team Parker Racing’s experience and success in the series make them the ideal team to work with, and I cannot wait to get started!”

Morris added: “I am delighted to return to British GT alongside Ed. This partnership is exciting, as we already share a strong friendship, and I am looking forward to helping him develop as a driver. Together, we will be a competitive pairing in the Endurance Cup.

Ed has made it clear that he wants to fight for overall podiums, and I will be doing everything possible to make that a reality. With such a strong line-up at Team Parker Racing, 2025 promises to be an incredibly exciting season, and if we perform well, we could even challenge for the Teams’ title.”

Team Parker’s Mercedes-AMG joins Jolt Racing’s McLaren and MKH Racing’s Aston Martin on the provisional Endurance Cup entry list.

Its opening round, as well as that of the wider championship, takes place at Donington Park on April 5-6.
