2025 ENTRY: Porsche returns full-time with Jones, Müller and Team Parker

2025 ENTRY: Porsche returns full-time with Jones, Müller and Team Parker

Porsche’s current 992-spec 911 GT3 R finally joins British GT full-time in 2025 courtesy of Team Parker Racing, Nick Jones and factory star Sven Müller.

The same driver, manufacturer and team combination enjoyed Le Mans Cup success last season when two podiums – including one at the prestigious Road to Le Mans race – helped Jones finish fourth in the standings.

911 GT3 Rs have raced sporadically in Britain in recent years but this will be the first full-season entry since Jones and Scott Malvern raced the previous generation car in 2022. They were also crowned GT4 Pro-Am champions in 2018 and gave the 992 model its British GT debut at Silverstone two years ago.

“I’m really looking forward to being back in British GT this year and reuniting with both Team Parker Racing and Sven,” he said. “Racing in Europe over the last few years has been refreshing and I’ve learned a lot; new tracks, new styles of racing and new techniques, so I’m excited to see how that will translate back into British GT.

“I’m fitter and more determined than ever, so I’m hungry to get back out on track. Sven and I have struck up a great relationship over the last season and a half, he’s both brilliant to work with and a top driver to have in the car. It made sense to continue that for this year and keep learning from him. Also being back with Team Parker is like coming home. I’ve known the team for so long and I’m just really excited to get back into the action.”

His current co-driver has enjoyed a string of high-profile successes across his career and will be a standout entry into British GT this season. After winning both the Porsche Supercup and Carrera Cup Germany titles in 2016 he has gone on to compete in the world’s biggest GT3 series, scoring podium finishes in categories such as the FIA World Endurance Championship and Japanese Super GT, plus victories in the GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS and ADAC GT Masters.

He joined Porsche’s factory driver roster back in 2017.

“I’m very excited for this season and my first time in British GT,” said Müller. “I really like the English tracks like Silverstone and Brands Hatch, and I’m looking forward to learning some of the new ones across the year – I’ll have some simulator practice to get up to speed, for sure.

“And it’s a pleasure to partner with Nick for a second full season. We got to know each other really well and enjoyed a lot of success last season in the Le Mans Cup, so we want to improve on that and fight for some more trophies in British GT. I’m excited to start testing and working with Team Parker Racing for the first time. I think it’s going to be a really fun year ahead.”

While Müller will contest the vast majority of the championship alongside Jones, clashing commitments prevent him from contesting Spa-Francorchamps in June. British driver Harry King – who has lifted titles in the Ginetta GT Supercup and Porsche Carrera Cup GB and Benelux – will deputise for that event.

British GT’s wider entry list will be revealed during media day at Silverstone this Friday before Donington hosts round one on April 5-6.
