James Dorlin and Alex Toth-Jones will make their Intelligent Money British GT Championship returns at Silverstone this weekend aboard MSL Powered by Newbridge Motorsport's Aston Martin Vantage GT4.

Both drivers contested the 2019 season with Tolman and Academy, respectively, before switching to the new-for-2020 Porsche Sprint Challenge GB series. They now link up with MSL Powered by Newbridge Motorsport, which makes its British GT debut after claiming three victories with the same Aston Martin during GT Cup’s season finale last month.

Dorlin, who won a race en route to sixth in last year’s British GT4 standings, leads the Cayman-based championship ahead of its final round, which also takes place at Silverstone this weekend.

“I’m really looking forward to the Silverstone 500. Racing in both the Aston Martin in British GT and the Porsche in Sprint Challenge GB on the same day is going to be exciting for sure!” said Dorlin. “I feel very privileged to be given the opportunity to race two legendary marques during the same weekend and making my Aston Martin GT debut is going to be amazing.

“We are on the brink of claiming the title in Porsche Sprint Challenge GB, so I want to get that done and then focus on having a strong outing in the Aston. I’m very grateful to MSL Motorsport Consultancy and my sponsors for making this a reality.”

His co-driver, Toth-Jones, also raced Aston Martin’s current GT4 contender in 2019 before claiming GT Cup victory with Newbridge’s example last month.

“The Silverstone 500 is a massive event and I feel privileged and thrilled to be involved,” he said. “It is a wonderful way to end what has been a difficult year for motorsport and while the racing will be behind closed doors, we will be doing all we can to put on an exciting show. I’m delighted to be back with the Newbridge Motorsport team again and to be racing alongside James for the first time. There are no expectations on us, and that means there are no limits to what we can achieve. I’d like to say a huge thank you to MSL Motorsport Consultancy and all my partners for this brilliant opportunity.”

This weekend’s #Silverstone500 entry – comfortably British GT’s largest of the season – will be revealed in full tomorrow morning at 9am.

Covid measures will prevent spectators from attending British GT’s #SilverstoneShowdown. However, fans around the world can watch the three-hour season finale live on British GT’s Facebook page and website, as well as SRO’s GT World Youtube channel, from 12:50 GMT on November 8.
