> Silver Cup duo Williams and Fielding also reunite
Steller Motorsport will focus on the Intelligent Money British GT Championship’s GT4 class this season after confirming Richard Williams and Sennan Fielding aboard its Audi R8 LMS.
The duo raced Steller’s GT3-spec R8 last term but can no longer continue together in the same class now that Silver/Silver pairings have been outlawed.
Instead, they are returning to GT4 for the first time since handing Steller’s Audi class victory at the 2019 British GT season finale.
Another class win on debut at Snetterton resulted in the car’s only other points’ finish that year. Nevertheless, Steller’s pair will be amongst the favourites to lift GT4’s overall and Silver Cup titles this season, which gets underway at Brands Hatch next weekend (May 22/23).
Steller’s Audi joins Aston Martin, BMW, McLaren, Mercedes-AMG and Toyota on British GT’s list of GT4 manufacturers confirmed so far.
Up to 4,000 spectators can attend Brands Hatch next Saturday and Sunday. Fans must purchase tickets in advance via brandshatch.co.uk to guarantee admission.
