Jarman set for British GT return with Stratton Motorsport

Andrew Jarman will return to the British GT4 Championship for the remainder of the 2016 season at Spa-Francorchamps this weekend when he teams up with David Tinn aboard Stratton Motorsport’s Aston Martin V8 Vantage.

The Milton Keynes racer is no stranger to GT4 having scored two class victories en route to second in the class standings two years ago. Jarman then remained with TF Sport for its first season of GT3 competition in 2015 when he scored the team’s maiden pole position at Snetterton. And Spa will be his first British GT appearance since finishing second overall at Donington Park last September.

Jarman is also no stranger to Stratton Motorsport having won the Aston Martin GT4 Challenge with them in 2013.

“It’s great to be coming back into the British GT Championship,” he said. “I’ve been watching with interest this year how the popularity of the series has continued to grow. I couldn’t turn down the chance to come back and I’m delighted to be driving alongside David with Stratton Motorsport who I’ve known since my time in the GT4 Challenge.

“We have some catching up to do coming in half-way through the season and the competition looks stronger than ever in the GT4 class, although I’m confident we can progress our way up the grid over the remainder of the season. I can’t wait to get started.”

Jarman joins Tinn, who contested the opening round of the season with Robin Marriott.
